A generalization is a broad statement or rule that applies to many examples. It is made based on several examples
• Clue words such as all, most, always, usually, or generally signal generalizations.
• You can test generalizations with knowledge you already have to see if they make sense.
• A generalization can be valid (logical) or faulty (wrong) depending on the number of examples on which it is based and how logical
the thinking is.
