Capitalization & Abbreviations
Here are some rules for capitalizing proper nouns.
• Capitalize the first word and every important word of a proper noun.
Proper nouns name particular persons, places, or things. Names of magazines, newspapers, works of art, musical compositions, and organizations are proper nouns.

• Capitalize the first letter of an abbreviation. Capitalize both letters in a state postal abbreviation.
