Drawing Conclusions
Drawing a conclusion is forming an opinion based on what you already know or on the facts and details in a text.
• Check an author’s conclusions or your own conclusions by asking:
Is this the only logical choice?
Are the facts accurate?
• Facts and details are the small pieces of information in an article or story. Facts and details “add up” to a conclusion. Conclusions formed by the author or the reader must make sense.
